Mission

Awal Nouzilal— “the Voice of Azilal” — is a youth-led nonprofit building local opportunities in the Atlas Mountains through education, community development, and Amazigh cultural initiatives.

Why Our Work Matters

In many rural and indigenous communities, young people are full of talent—but lack access to:

  • Practical skills and mentorship for youth’s future education and careers

  • Modern creative outlets to promote understanding and positive role models

  • Local opportunity, to promote more opportunities in rural communities

Awal Nouzilal exists to make opportunity local, youth-owned, and sustainable—so Azilal’s youth can build their future without leaving their community behind.

Education

Free and accessible learning programs that strengthen communication, leadership, and career readiness—especially for youth preparing for jobs, higher education, and community leadership.

Community Development

Community partnerships and volunteer initiatives that support local needs, expand exchange opportunities, and make our space a hub for youth and community learning.

Cultural Initiatives

Amazigh-centered storytelling, arts, and cultural documentation that uplift indigenous identity through youth creativity—language, theater, ethnography, and documentary work.

We Build Community Through:

leadership, collaboration, constructive & creative thinking, empathy, active listening, and mutual understanding.
